World Day Against Drugs, President Meloni's Declaration
Drugs destroy lives, and make people slaves and subjects. Addiction doesn't have the final word, and those who have fallen can find hope again. We don't intend to resign ourselves to indifference, and we will do everything necessary to restore dignity and future to those who have fallen into the abyss of drugs. These are some of the fundamental messages we want to reaffirm today, on the occasion of the World Day Against Drugs established by the United Nations.
Management of the Migration Phenomenon, Informal Meeting on the Sidelines of the European Council
On the sidelines of the European Council, the President of the Council, Giorgia Meloni, together with the Danish Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, and the Dutch Prime Minister, Dick Schoof, hosted a new informal meeting between some of the member states most interested in the topic of innovative solutions to be applied to the management of the migration phenomenon and in particular to strengthening the legal framework on repatriations.
